Schema Markup Generator
Structured data describes a page to search engines in a standard vocabulary. Choose a type, fill in the fields and copy the JSON-LD script into your page. The tool checks dates, addresses and required fields as you type, and nothing is sent to a server.

Generate schema markup
Year-month-day, or with a time such as 2026-11-04T09:30:00+00:00.
Fill in the fields to build the markup.
How to use it
Choose a type
Pick Article, FAQ page, Product, Local business, Organization or Breadcrumb trail.
Fill in the fields
Required fields are marked. Each message tells you what to fix, such as a date that is not a real date.
Copy, add and test
Paste the script into the page it describes, then test the page with Google's Rich Results Test before you publish.
Example: breadcrumb trail
Enter Home | https://example.com/ on the first line and Tools | https://example.com/tools on the second. The tool numbers the items and produces a BreadcrumbList that mirrors the breadcrumbs shown on the page.
Types you can create
Each type produces valid schema.org JSON-LD. Whether a search engine shows a rich result depends on its own rules.
| Type | Describes |
|---|---|
| Article | A news story, blog post or other article, with author and dates |
| FAQ page | Questions and answers that are written on the page |
| Product | A product with a price, currency and availability |
| Local business | A business with an address, phone number and opening hours |
| Organization | A company or group, its website, logo and official profiles |
| Breadcrumb trail | The path from the home page to the current page |
Limits and limitations
- Valid markup does not guarantee a rich result. Search engines decide whether to show one, and they have limited some types. Google now shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known government and health sites.
- The markup must describe what visitors can see on the page. Marking up content that is not visible can break search engine guidelines.
- Ratings and reviews are not created, because they must come from real customers and be shown on the page. Add them yourself only if that is true.
- Only these six types are available, with the most common fields. Other schema.org types and nested details need to be written by hand.
Frequently asked questions
Is my information uploaded?
No. What you type is processed by JavaScript running in your browser and is not sent to a server. The page itself still loads from a web server like any website. This site can load advertising or analytics scripts, but only after you accept them in the cookie notice. They are separate from the tools, which never pass the files or text you work with to them.
Where do I put the JSON-LD script?
Inside the head or body of the page it describes. Google reads JSON-LD wherever it appears in the HTML.
Why is the date format strict?
Structured data uses ISO 8601, written year-month-day such as 2026-11-04, optionally followed by a time and timezone.
How do I check the markup works?
Paste the page address or the code into Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator and look for errors and warnings.
