Amazon FBA fees (editable)

These are example rates, not live figures. Amazon changes its fees and they vary by category, country and account, so check your own fee page and edit any value. The FBA fulfilment fee depends on the size and weight of the packed item, so it starts blank. Look it up in Seller Central's revenue calculator and enter it.

%

Varies by category. Many categories also have a small minimum per item, which this tool does not apply.

Enter a selling price to see your profit. Costs and fees left blank count as 0.

How to use it

  1. Enter price and costs

Type the selling price, what the unit costs you landed, what you pay to ship it to Amazon, and any other per-unit cost such as prep or advertising.

  2. Fill in the fees

The referral fee starts at an example percentage. The FBA fulfilment fee starts blank because it depends on the size and weight of the packed unit. Look it up for your product and enter it.

  3. Read the result

See profit per unit, the margin on the money the buyer pays and the return on your spend, with a table showing where each amount goes.

Example: a $25 product

Price 25.00, product cost 6.00, shipping to Amazon 0.50, other costs 1.00, referral fee 15% (3.75), an FBA fulfilment fee of 3.50 and storage of 0.10. Fees total 7.35 and costs 7.50, so profit is 10.15 per unit, a 40.6% margin. The 3.50 and 0.10 are made-up figures for the example.

What the fields mean

Amazon's fee schedule has many parts. This tool covers the three that apply to most sales, and lets you put anything else in Other costs.

Limits and limitations

  • Amazon changes its fees from time to time, and what you pay depends on your category, country, account type and sales history. The rates pre-filled in this tool are examples to show how the maths works. Always check Amazon's own fee page and edit the fields to match.
  • Fees that depend on the product's size and weight, storage time of year, long-term storage and inbound placement are not looked up. You must enter them.
  • Referral fees can be tiered by price or have a minimum per item. This tool applies one flat percentage.
  • The result is an estimate for planning, not accounting, tax or legal advice. Sales tax, VAT, income tax, currency conversion and returns are not included unless you enter them as a cost.

Frequently asked questions

Are the Amazon fees in this tool current?

Amazon changes its fees from time to time, and what you pay depends on your category, country, account type and sales history. The rates pre-filled in this tool are examples to show how the maths works. Always check Amazon's own fee page and edit the fields to match.

Why is the FBA fulfilment fee blank?

It depends on the dimensions, weight and sometimes price of the packed unit, and Amazon revises the tables. Entering it yourself avoids a wrong default.

Is the referral fee charged on shipping too?

This tool applies percentage fees to the price plus any shipping you charge the buyer, which is how many marketplaces work. If your category differs, set shipping charged to 0 or adjust the rate.

Is my pricing data uploaded?

No. Your pricing is worked out by JavaScript running in your browser and is not sent to a server. The page itself still loads from a web server like any website. This site can load advertising or analytics scripts, but only after you accept them in the cookie notice. They are separate from the tools, which never pass the files or text you work with to them.
