The buyer pays 48.00. A 13.6% final value fee is 6.53 and a 0.40 per-order fee brings fees to 6.93. Item cost 15.00, postage 8.00 and other 1.00 are 24.00 of costs, so profit is 17.07, a 35.6% margin.
Limits and limitations
- eBay changes its fees from time to time, and what you pay depends on your category, country, account type and sales history. The rates pre-filled in this tool are examples to show how the maths works. Always check eBay's own fee page and edit the fields to match.
- eBay may charge the final value fee on the total including sales tax, which this tool does not know. Enter a slightly higher rate if you want to allow for it.
- Category-specific rates, store subscription discounts, international fees and fees for returns or insertion are not modelled.
- The result is an estimate for planning, not accounting, tax or legal advice. Sales tax, VAT, income tax, currency conversion and returns are not included unless you enter them as a cost.
